PLEDGE CEREMONY FOR CLEAN CARE IS SAFER CARE, WORLDWIDE ACTION, 2005-2019

Today Pledge Ceremony for Clean Care is Safer Care, Worldwide Action, 2005-2019 has been officiated by Y.M. Prof. Dr. Tunku Kamarul Zaman Tunku Zainol Abidin, Director of UMMC. Hand hygiene is therefore the most important measure to avoid the transmission of harmful organisms and prevent health care-associated infections. Any health-care worker, involved in direct or indirect patient care must be able to perform hand hygiene correctly and at the right time.

BSN FUND DONATION CEREMONY
 Update on: 29/1/2019
 

Thank you Bank Simpanan Malaysia for RM650,000.00 donation. This donation was delivered by En. Mujibburahman Abd. Rashid, BSN Chief Business Officer to Y.M. Professor Dr Tunku Kamarul Zaman Tunku Zainol Abidin, Director of UMMC. This donation is meaningful in our efforts to provide comprehensive services especially to pediatric patients with financial constraints in continuing treatment at UMMC.

CHANG GUNG MEMORIAL HOSPITAL TAIWAN VISIT

On January 24, 2019, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan headed by Professor Liu Hui Ping, visited the UM Dental Faculty, Department of Emergency Medicine and the CICU Ward. Associate Professor Dr Azura Binti Mansor, UMMC Clinical Deputy Director (Surgical) also attended and gave welcoming speech. The visit was held to share opinions and to create close collaboration to improve the quality of services especially in the hospitals

AWARENESS AND SUPPORT ASSOCIATION (MIASA) VISIT

Thank you to the Awareness & Support Association (MIASA) for a visit to the PPUM Psychiatric Ward on January 24, 2019 by giving souvenirs to patients in the ward. Hopefully this pure effort can be continued in the future.

MAJLIS AMANAT PENGARAH 2019 DAN MAJLIS IKRAR BEBAS RASUAH (IBR)

On this occasion Amanat Pengarah 2019 University Malaya Medical Center has been delivered by Yang Mulia Professor Dr. Tunku Kamarul Zaman Bin Tunku Zainol Abidin. He also told the direction of the UMMC and a strategic plan designed to assist UMMC to achieve its goals and ensure that the medical services provided are of high quality to the customers.

Also present was Majlis Ikrar Bebas Rasuah (IBR) which was SPRM efforts to emphasize and enhance the commitment of UMMC to prevent the abuse of power, particularly corruption. The pledge readings are headed by Yang Mulia Professor. Tunku Kamarul Zaman Bin Tunku Zainol Abidin, Director of the University Malaya Medical Center witnessed by Mr. Khairuddin bin Abdul Rahman, Deputy Director of Operations,SPRM Selangor with Deputy Directors of UMMC.

Hopefully, all the initiatives and programs will give us the spirit of encouragement so that we can work together and pray that UMMC will always be on the right track to maintain the desire to become the leader in medical education in Malaysia.

UMMC INTERNAL AUDIT 2019
 Update on: 18/1/2019
 

Internal Audit MS ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System University of Malaya Medical Center for 2019 was successfully conducted on 15 - 17 January 2019. The purpose of Internal Audit is one of the methods monitoring and internal control of the main processes and procedures in UMMC accordance with the standard requirements MS ISO 9001: 2015. This activity is also one of the preparations for the Compliance Audit by SIRIM QAS International Sdn. Bhd. YM Prof. Dr. Tunku Kamarul Zaman binTunku Zainol Abidin, the Director of UMMC has completed and closed the Internal Audit this year. Hopefully the Internal Audit 2019 will evaluate the effectiveness and compliance of the department in achieving its objectives and improve quality of service at UMMC.

MEETING WITH YB TUAN RAJIV A/L RISHYAKARAN, BUKIT GASING ASSEMBLYMAN
 Update on: 10/1/2019
 

On January 10, 2019 UMMC Management and YB Tuan Rajiv a/l Rishyakaran, Bukit Gasing Assemblyman and Miss Mayna Patel, a representative from YB Maria Chin Abdullah, Petaling Jaya Member of Parliament held discussions on collabration especially in terms of health services. Discussions are also about the Community Health Inteligence Program, which is to improve health services and to collaborate on health programs and activities especially to the urban community in Petaling Jaya. Also present were En. Thayalan Kavin, Member of Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya Council.
