Congratulations to Quality Improvement Team (QIT) from Pharmacy Department for winning the Gold Award at the International Convention on Quality Control Circle (ICQCC) 2019 in Tokyo, Japan that was held from 23 to 26 September 2019. The team called The Dynamite presented a project titled "Re-Engineering The Workflow at The Outpatient Pharmacy Due To Inconsistent Achievement of Objective Quality".

The Dynamite is one of the 36 Excellence Teams from Malaysia who received Gold Award in the convention which hosted 352 teams from 15 countries including America, Bangladesh, China, Phillipines, Indonesia, India, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Mauritius, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, United Kingdom and Zambia.

The ICQCC is an annual international event in the quality control (QC) network that provides platform to share best practices and initiatives in improving quality, productivity, innovation, service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Well done and congratulations to The Dynamite from Pharmacy Department for this high level of achievement!

Pada 20 Sept. 2019, PPUM telah mengadakan majlis Dialog di antara Pengurusan PPUM dan staf PPUM. Seramai lebih kurang 140 orang staf dari pelbagai kategori dan gred jawatan telah menghadiri sesi dialog ini.

Objektif dialog adalah untuk memberi peluang kepada staf membuat pertanyaan dan cadangan penambahbaikan perkhidmatan di PPUM serta mendapatkan penjelasan dan tindakan yang telah dijalankan oleh Pengurusan PPUM bagi memastikan perkhidmatan di PPUM terus cemerlang. YM Tunku Kamarul Zaman bin Tunku Zainol Abidin, Pengarah dan Timbalan-Timbalan Pengarah PPUM turut hadir semasa sesi dialog tersebut.

Today was the Opening Ceremony of the 2019 World Pharmacy Day which was officiated by Mrs. Che Zuraini Binti Sulaiman. UMMC Deputy Director of Professional. In line with the theme of “Safe and Effective Medicines for All”, let us all celebrate and appreciate the role of the Pharmacist in ensuring the safety of medicine in health care and strengthening the patient''''s confidence in medication intake.

On September 24, 2019 was the Malaysian Dietitians’ Day which was officiated by Mrs. Che Zuraini Binti Sulaiman. UMMC Deputy Director of Professional. With the theme “Dietitians Beat High Blood Pressure” and hopefully UMMC staff in particular can take the opportunity to learn from the Dietitians about guidelines for healthy food intake in everyday life.

18th ASIAN SPINAL CORD NETWORK CONFERENCE 2019

YB DR Lee Boon Chye officially launching the Genetic Counselling Society Malaysia on 10th September 2019 in conjunction with the 1st Genomic and Genetic Counselling Workshop at UMMC. Also present Encik Iskandar bin Ahmad, Deputy Director of Administrator of UMMC. UMMC is one of the main referrals for clinical genetics service in Malaysia that provides genetic counselling service. Genetic counselling usually delivered by clinical geneticists and trained genetic counsellors. Genetic counselling session will provide individuals with information, making sure an informed decision can be made, as well as to provide psychosocial support.
