DIGITAL RADIOGRAPHY

"Digital Radiography"(DR) is a new technology in the field of imaging in which it can facilitate the Radiographers workflow in terms of image processing, image quality and minimizing the amount of radiation to the patient. This can indirectly save patient waiting  time in the Imaging Department. In the meantime, DR eliminates the recurring cost of processing chemicals and film that lead to environmental pollution. In addition, the advantage of Digital Radiography is the image can be seen directly after they are captured and helps to improve image quality in terms of manipulating the image. Accordingly, on 15 October 2016, a course of "Digital Radiography: The Art Behind It" will be held at Hotel Armada Petaling Jaya. The course will run for one day and involves the application of DR in the Department of Imaging after 3 years of operation at UMMC.

1. To understand the advantages that can be obtained with the use of DR versus Computed Radiography (CR).
2. To share information on how to use DR and how it can reduce Reject analysis while improving image quality.
3. To obtain information about the use of DR that can provide an opportunity for researchers to produce higher quality research.
4. To share information and expertise with other hospitals in the use of digital radiography.
