Graduate Programmes

Since 1973, the Department has been conducting Master of Public Health programmes. It is the first postgraduate programme for public health studies in Malaysia (History). Since then the SPM have expended the postgraduate programme to include

1. Master of Public Health (MPH) - one year programme (brochure)
2. Master of Medical Science (Public Health) - one year programme ( brochure)
3. Master of Public Health (Health Service Management)
4. Master of Public Health (Epidemiology)
5. Master of Public Health (Family Health)
6. Master of Public Health ( Occupational Health)
7. Doctor of Public Health (DrPH)
8. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)

Other Programmes

Beside these programme that are conducted by the Department, the Department also contribute to postgraduate programme by other Department of the Faculty of Medicine and other Faculty within the University. These programmes are:

1. Masters of Science in Nursing
2. Masters in Community Dentistry - Faculty of Dentistry
3. Masters in Psychological Medicine
4. Masters in Pharmacy
5. Masters of Medicine (Clinical Oncology)
6. Masters of Engineering (Safety, Health and Environment) - Faculty of Engineering

International Students

Over the years more and more foreign students have join the postgraduate programmes offered by the Department of SPM. Due to the large number of foreign students each year, the department had develop the booklet Information for International Students to assist international students to adapt to the local situation.
