Description for Division of Nephrology

Thank you for visiting the Division of Nephrology, University Malaya Medical Centre. Our mission is to provide the highest standard in education and training, provide a high quality  patient care and expand the frontier of basic and clinical research in Nephrology

Staff

Currently, our division consists of 5 Consultant Nephrologists and 3 renal trainees. UMMC have produced many Nephrologists, some of which are giving their services in other centres.

We have one dedicated renal ward with 23 acute beds. We provide renal outpatient and inpatient services, with many state-of-the-art facilities. Apart from the usual nephrology services, we also provide:

Education

We are actively involved in undergraduate medical education of University of Malaya, providing training for postgraduate Masters of Internal Medicine and an established renal training centre for 3-year Nephrology training program.
