Department of Human Resources



The Human Resource Department is responsible in managing human resource related matters in UMMC. The Department covers three main area:

  • Division of Posts, Services and Welfare Management
  • Division of Policy, Remuneration and Information Management
  • Division of Training Management

  • Managing matters relating to posts, service, and career development in UMMC including appointments, confirmation of service, pension status, promotion and retirement. 
  • Managing matters relating to staff code of conduct and disciplinary in accordance with Statutory Bodies (Disciplinary and Surcharge) Act 2000 (Act 605).
  • Managing staff emolument pay including allowance, loan and contribution payment to other statutory bodies such as EPF and PERKESO. 
  • Managing staff welfare activities including welfare assistance in medical, marriage, death, disaster, dentistry, education, UMMC Kindergarten and medical facilities for UMMC pensioner.
  • Conducting staff counselling cases including diploma program trainee and providing guidance to staff in various issues related to service.
  • Managing all records and documentation of staff service.
  • Managing all sports and art activities as approved by the Main Committee of Welfare, Sports and Art.
  • Managing training for staff for the purpose of career development, knowledge, experience and skills exposure to improve and enhance staff competencies in serving customers.
